Imagine it’s judgment day. You’re standing before God, and you hear Jesus say to you, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
So you get up and start walking toward the gates, and you’re pretty excited, right?
Then you hear him say to someone else, “Get out of my sight, you condemned, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
You turn around, and it’s your friends. It’s members of your family. And they’re looking at you and asking, “How come you didn’t tell me? You told me dirty jokes. You gossiped with me. How come you didn’t tell me about Jesus?”
How would you feel that day, walking into the kingdom while the people you knew didn’t, because you never told them about Jesus Christ?
That’s one of the big reasons the Heroic Pledge asks us to pray for three men a day. It doesn’t start with preaching at anybody.
It starts with praying for them, and then seeing who God puts in front of you, the guy at work, your brother, the friend you haven’t really talked to in a while.
Who are the three men in your life who need your prayers, starting right now?
Say a prayer for them right now.
Stay strong, brother.
Who are your three this week?
Dominic
